Artist statement: Nests are beautiful creations by birds of all kinds. Their intricacies and characteristics are fascinating. Birds weaving and spinning natural items they collect in their surroundings. Twigs, leaves, grass are all woven to hide and protect their precious offspring. I find myself painting nests quite often and have recently created a watercolor series of nest paintings within a natural staging of animals and people who may come across them. Sometimes hidden. Sometimes in view. Always beautiful.
