Artist statement: This is the old Town Line Dairy building, where we sued to get our milk from. When the owner passed, the building is used for other things, and the pasture is now housing . But the younger generation has started up Town Line Dairy again (without the milk cows) a short ways down the street.

Artist statement: This reminds me of my Dad, who worked in textile mills when he was young to help his family. We got a tour of the mill before it closed down permanently.

Artist statement: Nostalgia reminds me of the simple ways of the past. This is what I saw in my painting of Howe's Vegetable Stand in Paxton, Massachusetts. With the essence of gladness to the eye, I designed and created Cornucopia #1.

Artist statement: Cortona, Italy is the jewel of Tuscany in my mind. Tucked up on a hill side with narrow winding cobble streets. It's beautiful old architecture dates back to the Roman and Etruscan times. This is what I wanted to capture as a keepsake to remind myself of being in Cortona.

Artist statement: My father had a great passion for traveling by train. He passed on the charm for the nostalgia of train travel to me. This triggered me to create a still life depicting the genre of yesterday's travel.

Artist statement: I always liked an adventure like whitewater rafting down the Snake River in Wyoming. While rafting gently down the river I caught site of the famous Teton Mountains which I was able to take a picture to my delight it came out beautifully.

Artist statement: Cortona, Italy is a magical city on a side of hill with narrow twisting cobbled streets and beautiful architecture that goes back thousands of years. The ring on the side of the buildings caught my eye and imagination. The ring reminded me of life that goes round and round and to see what ones destination is.

Artist statement: Along every street in Cortona was a beautiful stray cat, each one different from the other. They are well taken care of by the locals so they are very happy. I love tabbies as I have one so the orange tabby was the perfect picture to submit

Artist statement: It was my first time going to the city of Cortona, Italy. The peacefulness and slow pace struck me as joyful to ears and eyes. You can hear their beautiful language as I strolled down the streets in and out of the shops. It was heaven to my ears!

Artist statement: In May 2024, with the Farmington River swollen above capacity, I ventured down an offshoot of the river in Curtiss Park that led me to a pond hidden way back in the woods. When this bird landed near my kayak and started hunting, I didn’t have any idea what it was. The incredible rapier beak with striking blue and yellow highlights, a sleek body with deep purple and fields of blue with white borders on a living creature that I knew I had never seen before.

Artist statement: The Goslings swam in single file trailing their mother’s large form. Where the mother was big, brownish, and black and white, the Goslings were cute, like Ryan Gosling in his first appearance on Graham Norton Show. Yes I had to make the jump from Canadian Geese to Canadian movie star. I followed them for a while on the Farmington River, but they were not very social, kinda down right rude. Helicopter parents has a whole new meaning when dealing with Goslings.
