Artist statement: Creating art is at once relaxing and exhilarating. Each work is an exploration of pleasing the eye and toying with emotion. I feel very fortunate when I can escape the world momentarily and pour my energy into a new project. No matter the subject, medium, or original vision, decisions are easy while I’m “in the zone.” Somewhere along the way I get entirely absorbed in the process and when I finally take a breath, the outcome inevitably holds surprises for me. What could be more fun?

Artist statement: For over thirty years Charlie Doherty gave his passionate as a volunteer, CFO and board member to the New England Hemophilia Association to help those with bleeding disorders. Charlie’s selfless disposition and financial talents brought the organization from bankruptcy to a monumentally successful chapter, one that is nationally recognized in leadership.
