MCA Kicks Ass, Tower Records, 1997
Jenifer Heck
$250.00
Artist statement: As a filmmaker, music has always been an inspiration to me. While I was a student at NYU in the ‘90s, music was everywhere, but I was too poor to attend concerts. However, I carved out an opportunity to use my camera for access by working as a music photojournalist. Only a (naive) teenager at the time, I often developed a friendly rapport with the artists I met. In this image, MCA was gracious enough to pose with my skateboard at Luscious Jackson’s album release at Tower Records on W4th. Specific medium: 35mm film
Prince at the Palladium in NYC, July 14, 1994
Jenifer Heck
$275.00
Artist statement: As a filmmaker, music has always been an inspiration to me. While I was a student at NYU in the ‘90s, I had an opportunity to use my camera for access by working as a music photographer. Just a teenager at the time, I often developed a friendly rapport with artists I met. In this image, Prince plays at NYC’s Palladium in the summer of 1994. Later, in 2016, I made Prince’s official memorial film with Van Jones. That film screened at his public memorial in Minneapolis for over 17,000 fans. Specific medium: 35mm film
FOCSA Havana
Jenifer Heck
$200.00
Selected for Exhibition Artist statement: I am an avid history buff, and finally, in 2014, after years of curiosity, I was able to visit Havana when it briefly reopened during an easement for artists and professionals. The city feels frozen in time, as if the clock stopped in 1953. It was a fascinating study in architecture, history, and decay. This image is of the FOCSA Building, a monolithic architectural block in a mixed Brutalist-Modern style, facing Havana’s Malecón and overlooking the Straits of Florida. Specific medium: Digital camera
Adventure Part 1: Himalayas Versus Twin Engine
Jenifer Heck
$200.00
Artist statement: Like so many before me, I was drawn by the allure of the Far East and its multifaceted promise of adventure, including one of the greatest earthly challenges one can imagine—Mount Everest. I was fortunate to travel to the mountain twice for my film work, and although the journey is mostly on foot, it begins with a precarious plane ride on an outdated Russian plane, landing on the world’s most dangerous runway at the mountainside Lukla airport. This image represents part one of that long journey. Specific medium: Digital camera
Quiet Watcher, Havana Streets
Jenifer Heck
$200.00
Selected for Exhibition Artist statement: I am an avid history buff, and finally, in 2014, after years of curiosity, I was able to visit Havana when it briefly reopened during an easement for artists and professionals. The city feels frozen in time, as if the clock stopped in 1953. It was a fascinating study in architecture, history, and decay. This image is a typical street scene that could have been just as easily taken in 1954 as 2014. Specific medium: Digital camera

Melon Twirl
Cheri Holland
$175.00
Artist statement: This twirl was made from one of my own photographs. I digitally manipulated it into a twirl. I tried to bring out the melon color. It reminds me of a Hippo mouth, but it's open to interpretation.
Tempest Twirl
Cheri Holland
$150.00
Artist statement: I used one of my photographs as the base for this twirl. Every twirl is unique. This one seems like it's moving. Bursting with energy.
Poetry in Motion
Sandy Howard
$200.00
Artist statement: Photography began as a hobby but has now blossomed into my passion.
With photography, I have learned to notice the beauty in the simple little things that I had never noticed before and to realize that all this beauty is all around us to enjoy!
We just need to take the time to see it.
It has brought me such joy I decided that perhaps I could share that joy with others!
I hope you enjoy my art and perhaps you will begin to see the same beauty in the “simple, little things”
Specific medium: Photography on canvas
Along the Blackstone Canal #1
James Hunt
$350.00
Artist statement: The Blackstone Canal began operating over 175 years ago. It's life span was brief, just 20 years. Technology, in the form of the railroad, made it obsolete. It quickly fell into disrepair and in many places long its journey from Worcester to Providence, it has been covered. In places though, it's still there. Its ability to survive with almost no help over an extended period of time gives one pause. These infrared images capture something of the personality of the Canal as it exists, today
