Ann Gurney
$350.00

Artist statement: Tuscany offers such beautiful landscapes, I wanted to capture it on a canvas. The warm golden colors along with the wonderful perspectives led me to paint this line of Cyprus trees on a bright afternoon. I painted in oil and wanted to paint loose and have fun with it.

Artist statement: I came upon this Bicycle while walking in Tuscany. The red color popped against the dull textured stucco backdrop of the building. I captured only a section of the bike as I thought the shapes were interesting. I used a digital camera.

Artist statement: I visited this fallen tree many times knowing that one day I would find a bird who would add to the beauty of it. This Great Blue Heron relaxed his wing to soak up the first rays of the setting sun shining through the forest. The stillness of the air allowed for the wonderful line of reflective angles on the water’s surface. In seconds the scene disappeared along with the sun’s rays never to be repeated!

Artist statement: I had been quietly observing this mother Red Fox for many days while respecting her space and behavior. In a magical moment she decided to rest from hunting prey for her babies and positioned herself perfectly across from my car. Such a privilege when she gave me soft beautiful eye contact not to be forgotten❣️

Artist statement: The agricultural spirit of a Country Fair inspired me to photograph a horse pull and their magnificent draft horse teams. To my delight the heat of the late Summer’s sun tickled the air into playing games and created a magical background for this beautiful draft horse team’s portrait.

Artist statement: I greatly enjoy painting from life; to look at a motif and have your hands fall in sync with your eyes is a magic experience. The dynamic interaction of focused looking and its recording creates its own type of meditative high. The past many years I have been concentrating on suburban, and rural landscape painting. I have been exploring how light, time, and seasonal describe a place and set mood. I am interested in how architecture, cars, and street signs, interact with the natural environment

Jen Heck
$250.00

Artist statement: As a filmmaker, music has always been an inspiration to me. While I was a student at NYU in the ‘90s, music was everywhere, but I was too poor to attend concerts. However, I carved out an opportunity to use my camera for access by working as a music photojournalist. Only a (naive) teenager at the time, I often developed a friendly rapport with the artists I met. In this image, MCA was gracious enough to pose with my skateboard at Luscious Jackson’s album release at Tower Records on W4th.

Just a teenager at the time, I often developed a friendly rapport with artists I met. In this image, Prince plays at NYC’s Palladium in the summer of 1994. Later, in 2016, I made Prince’s official memorial film with Van Jones. That film screened at his public memorial in Minneapolis for over 17,000 fans.

FOCSA Havana
FOCSA Havana
Jen Heck
$200.00

Selected for Exhibition
Artist statement: I am an avid history buff, and finally, in 2014, after years of curiosity, I was able to visit Havana when it briefly reopened during an easement for artists and professionals. The city feels frozen in time, as if the clock stopped in 1953. It was a fascinating study in architecture, history, and decay. This image is of the FOCSA Building, a monolithic architectural block in a mixed Brutalist-Modern style, facing Havana’s Malecón and overlooking the Straits of Florida.

Adventure Part 1: Himalayas Versus Twin Engine
Jen Heck
$200.00

Artist statement: Like so many before me, I was drawn by the allure of the Far East and its multifaceted promise of adventure, including one of the greatest earthly challenges one can imagine—Mount Everest. I was fortunate to travel to the mountain twice for my film work, and although the journey is mostly on foot, it begins with a precarious plane ride on an outdated Russian plane, landing on the world’s most dangerous runway at the mountainside Lukla airport. This image represents part one of that long journey.

This image is a typical street scene that could have been just as easily taken in 1954 as 2014.
